Banana Muffins Dannon Yogurt Recipe

Banana Muffins

Serves: 12

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of Dannon® Plain Lowfat Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 bananas, diced

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Lightly grease 12 muffin cups or place 12 paper cupcake liners in muffin tin
  • Beat butter, sugar and egg with electric mixer until fluffy
  • Add yogurt and vanilla, and beat until smooth
  • Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl
  • Add flour mixture to yogurt mixture, and mix well
  • Gently stir in bananas. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each one about 3/4 full
  • Bake 20 minutes or until baked through
